At the opening ceremony of the 2023 Minhang Science and Technology Festival held on May 23, a number of new technologies and new products closely related to people's lives, including smart pets, unmanned supermarkets, smart education, and AI exhibit activation from science and technology enterprises in the district, were displayed, showing the butterfly changes brought by scientific and technological innovation to urban life from the perspective of people's familiar life.

In February this year, the Shanghai Municipal Government officially released the "Plan for Promoting the Construction of the "Da Zero Bay" Science and Technology Innovation Source Functional Zone". Taking advantage of the opportunity of the Shanghai Municipal Government to promote the construction of the "Da Zero Bay" innovation source, this year's Minhang Science and Technology Festival will carry out activities around the theme of "Science and Technology Innovation Source, Intelligent Creation of the Future", opening up a new situation of scientific and technological innovation empowering industrial life and urban development, and gathering innovation intelligence to empower innovation-driven development. Facing the future, cutting-edge technologies such as AI technology, synthetic biology, and translational medicine will also empower the further takeoff of "Da Zero Bay".

At the opening ceremony, 12 Minhang District-level Innovation and R&D centers in 2022, 8 enterprises selected as the second batch of "Zhangjiang Star" cultivation plan, and 11 top 100 "Science and Innovation Star" enterprises were awarded honorary medals, in order to encourage the majority of science and technology enterprises to strengthen independent innovation, continuously improve their hard technology strength, and make new contributions to Minhang's economic and social development.

At the scene, Minhang Popular Science IP Image 3.0 version was officially released, and its image is extremely attractive to popular science culture. It is reported that in order to care for autistic children, the District CPPCC, the District Science and Technology Association and Hotdog jointly issued a limited edition public welfare digital blind box - Min Min blind box, and presented Minhang science popularization IP digital blind box to 100 families of "Stars". Opening the blind box can randomly obtain any of the four digital blind boxes, "Maqiao Hand Lion Dance", "Aerospace Pilot", "Subway Train Conductor" and "Da Zero Bay Maker".

Children can visit 10 popular science education bases including Shanghai AV Popular Science Center, Shanghai Metro Museum and Shanghai Jiaotong University Biogenomics Popular Science Base for free within two years with the digital blind box, hoping to accompany the "Stars' Children" out of loneliness through the infectiousness of science popularization culture.
